Hope everyone had a wonderful New Year. It has been very busy here at the farm. We have been preparing for our auction. It will begin Jan. 15 and end Jan. 21. There will be a link posted on our home page when it begins. While Shirley, Tanya, and myself prepared items for the auction, Jason, Brittany, Chris and Jamie took Toby and Manny for a meet n greet at Pet Smart in Mooresville. We were able to get rawhides for the whole kennel to last a while. Our friend Mark brought the hounds some food also. We have a good stock of Milk Bones in the Kennel so we won't be needing any of these for a while. Stacie and "the jack man" came for a visit and brought canned food and cleaning supplies and a nice warm coat for me.
The local Daisie girl scout troop came to the kennel for a visit, They sang carols, brought tree ornaments, and food for the dogs. They enjoyed visiting with the hounds and look forward to returning when it is warmer.
Jason and Brittany did a meet n greet in Winston last Sunday as well. We plan to do another meet n greet in Mooresville 5-9pm Friday Jan. 9, if anyone is interested in coming, let us know.
We are going to try and have coursing on the 10th starting at 1pm, weather permitting. If not we will have fun runs. We are working on new coats for the shop.
Amarillo Highway, our race for adoption dog has been resting and has schooled twice to prepare to run again. She is at Tri-State, owned by Doug Allen. Doug is hunting in Alabama, get something big!
